Winter 2008

The first Christmas in West Olive has been blessed and adventurous with buckets of snow, lots of snowblowing for Scott with assistance from Sami, and lots of time with family and friends at Christmas parties.

Samantha's last few months

We've enjoyed the last few months, even though they've been pretty busy moving from Holland to the parsonage of West Olive church. Here are a few highlights of Sami's adventures amidst our craziness.

Sami's 12 month photos

We had a great time today at the 12 month photo shoot! The photographer was very patient with a wiggly wanderer who stayed still for no more than 2 seconds at a time. She thought of all sorts of props to distract her, like chairs and beads... I have always liked more simple pictures without a lot of extras like those, but I see now why parents might choose them! Sami liked them, and liked the photographer. I think she had a lot of fun!

It's hard to believe that a year has already gone by! Samantha had a fantastic birthday, and she loved her carrot cake!

Tulip Time!

Aunt Katie took these first two photos outside our house. Aren't they cute? I can't enlarge them any without pixelating them, but I just love em. Thanks to our friend Wilma for loaning the costume!

Sami is quite the adventurer these days. She'll overcome any obstacle to get to get something she wants... especially daddy's books!

Month 8 highlights

Samantha crawls all over the place now, and is starting to pull herself up on furniture. She finally got in two bottom front teeth, and she loves to laugh and cuddle. She also loves bananas, as you can see... we can only get her to eat green beans or peas if bananas are on the spoon too. :)

Month 7 - playtime

Samantha loves to laugh and play now, and she says "dada" and "mama" pretty often... especially when we leave a room. For a kid who can't quite crawl yet she can also get across the room pretty well when we're not watching! It's been a fun month.
